The Asperger Society Supporters Club was established in 1995. We are adolescents with PDD (Asperger Syndrome). We are all above fifteen or older and according to Professor Sugiyama and Professor Tsujii "high-functioning. There are about ten people in our Club.
We have meetings once a month at Gifu University of Education or Professor TSUJII's private office in Nagoya.
We are high school students, University students, and others. Our name comes from the disire of parents and clinicians for us to support younger children with the same syndrome as us.
In the Club, we talk about various topics which each member are strongly interested in, such as comics, trains, some goods, etc.
We have another important activity. That is to publish News Letters. It is titled "A Heart of Asperger / living with Asperger Sndrome". We selected that title by ourselves. The News Letters are mostly written by ourselves.
However, occasionally, some reviews or reseach notes are shown in our News Letters, which are written by clinicians. For the present, Mr.TSUJII who is a clinician and also a general director of "Asperger Society" is the editor.
Now we have published Vol.2 and Vol.3 will publish in June 1996. If you would like to see our drawings, you can see our drawing which was on the frontpages of them (vol.1, vol.2 ),vol.3 ).
Unfortunately, they are written only in Japanese, so Mr.TSUJII will translate some of our articles into English.
